AAIC Services
Administrative Support
Each club's members manage their club. AAIC™ will provide administrative support to our clubs by arranging meetings and keeping records of club activities. Records may include meeting attendance and minutes and will include investment preferences, investments made, and investment results. AAIC™ assigns a Club Administrator to each club upon its formation. Your club's Club Administrator is your club's primary contact for Club matters. We will also provide guidance and forms with suggested Articles of Organization, Club Charter, and operating procedures and rules to help you form your club, if you are forming a new club. All of our clubs are free to seek support and guidance on an ad hoc basis. The purpose of this support is to free you to focus your resources on investing instead of club administration.
Future AAIC™ Services
Interclub Deal Syndication
As the network of AAIC™ clubs grows, the power of interclub syndication will explode. Syndication among club members expands the field of high-quality opportunities and reduces your risk. It expands the field of opportunities through deal sharing among clubs.
Suppose that members of the St. Petersburg, FL club have decided to invest $500,000 collectively in Company C. But, C and the St. Petersburg club members agree that $1 million is a better amount to support the company's progress through its current development phase. This club's participating members, instead of declining to invest, can work to raise the necessary increment through the AAIC network. This process is more efficient in the AAIC™ family because the Data Library will provide information about other clubs and investors in the network that will enable the St. Petersburg members to filter and target potential participants. The potential participants are more likely to be compatible with the current investors in many key ways than they would be if they were found through informal networking or club-to-club contact without prior information. On the other side of the syndication effort, potential participants would gain comfort from knowing that the local club would monitor their investment and that they could research the club and its members in the Data Library as well as through credible personal connections.
You can reduce the overall risk of investing by participating in interclub syndicates. As a participant, you would be able to invest in a larger number of deals across more industries for a given total investment than if you were to invest alone or confine your investment to deals within your local club. Risk mitigation is a key outcome of AAIC™ club membership. Syndication and diversification are key components of risk mitigation.
Matchmaking Services for Investors and Companies
Matching entrepreneurs and investors is a corollary to our Data Library service. In addition to the information described above under Angel Investor Data Library, we will gather data from entrepreneurs who are seeking investors. This information will be made available to our members for their review. Information about our members will not be shared with non-members, unless otherwise specified by a member.
Interclub Market for Member-owned Securities
An interclub market for member-owned securities in private companies is another natural corollary to the Data Library. Because the Data Library connects members' interests in a universally available format, it will enable private auctions of securities. Our role in this function is negligible. We provide the connection and enable the exchange of information between investors. You and your transaction counterpart execute any transactions that result from your contact. Although trading unlisted securities is possible, now, it's quite challenging for the investor who tries it on his or her own. We believe that our membership will develop the ability to trade among themselves with significantly less fear or trepidation than results from trading independently or in any other club, network, or forum.
